A New Cat - Blackie & Prochlorperazine

Today I have regain my spirit to write a post again.. :) I just recover from 'chronic' cough for about 3 weeks. I think the culprit for my cough is over consumption of cough medicine. Homeopathy one. This medicine should only be taken when you really have cough. Otherwise, the cough will get chronic like me... omo~~ so uncomfortable... Btw, This morning I got a very strong dizziness a.k.a. vertigo. I even feel that vertigo even when lying down. It happened so suddenly and I'm not really what is the real cause. It can happen at any time especially if I'm stress with something. haha I'm not sure cause never check with the doctor but I have taken Stemetil or its active ingredient known as Prochlorperazine.

• Mechanism of action is by anti-dopaminergic effect. It blocks the D2 somatodendritic autoreceptor, resulting in the blockade of postsynaptic dopamine receptors in the mesolimbic system and an increased dopamine turnover. Prochlorperazine anti-emetic effects is attributed to dopamine blockade in the chemoreceptor trigger zone. Prochlorperazine also blocks anticholinergic and alpha-adrenergic receptors, the blockade of alpha(1)-adrenergic receptors resulting in sedation, muscle relaxation, and hypotension.
• Indication of prochlorperazine is controlling severe nausea, vomiting, vertigo, and treating schizophrenia (as an anti-psychotic). haha seem like I'm having schizo but not lar.. 
• Side effects of this drug may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. But since I'm already feel dizzy at that time, taking this drug only cause me to sleep. 5mg of prochlorperazine tablet is able to immediately cure my vertigo. 
• Metabolism : Hepatic
• Toxicity symptoms: Symptoms of central nervous system depression to the point of somnolence or coma. Agitation and restlessness may also occur. Other possible manifestations include convulsions, EKG changes and cardiac arrhythmias, fever and autonomic reactions such as hypotension, dry mouth and ileus
• Half life : 6-8 hours. So, this can be taken 3-4 times per day.

 Actually, I still feel dizzy and weakness at this time. My brain is like got something wrong but I since I'm just staying at home, so I just want to observe what will happen next. I hope my brain is ok la... Maybe it is just hypotension. But I think my body cannot tolerate low blood pressure. Even if my BP is 90+/60+, I will get really dizzy and can't focus doing anything. Even I could not think properly and only want to sleep. Once happen to me that my BP reach SBP/DBP = 70+/40+. But at that time, I don't feel anything. It is like going to die already cause it is TOO LOW you know..! How can our DBP only 40+... It is really dangerous if I'm doing strenous exercise and hypoglycemic. :'( But Allah knows better and I'm still living until now. Alhamdulillah :) I just don't prefer taking medication except the pain is unbearable or I need to do some important work. Otherwise, i will just sleep for all day. This is life. My life. I think, once I'm working, I will really to keep stock of this drug. This is because i will get severe dizziness and vertigo and even nausea if I don't get enough rest, stress, and interrupted sleep time.

Ok, just leave that gloomy boring part. haha Actually I want to share my new cat. This cat just come across for about 2 month ago I think. He already has his owner which is my neighbor. But since we fed him fish, the cat keep coming and even don't want to go away. haha He is so adorable, and really act like a baby. So, just enjoy his pictures. He eats too much and will just keep eating as much as he can. He is really very big compared to our original cat Putih. The behaviour of Putih and Black are very contradict. One it sooo talkative, another one is quiet. Putih don't like to stay in the house and very 'garang' but Black dont want to go out (even to poo) and very friendly. Even cat has really different behaviours. Black loves to sleep with various styles. I really like this cat because he is always by my side no matter what i'm doing. He loves to acompany people. He will get noisy when he cannot see any human. haha

eating alot. he can even eat 10 fish per meal. haha that's why need to mix with rice.

sleeping anywhere in the house. but need to keep check the presence of human. otherwise he will wake up and find the owner.haha
