Xiaomi Band 5 / Pedometer

Assalamualaikum Ni hao Konnichiwa,

Today I would like to share about Xiomi Band 5 or also known as Mi Band 5. I bought this around 3 weeks ago at Xiomi outlet in Queensbay Mall. Price is RM169.00. For me, it is the best for the cheapest pedometer comparing with Galaxy Fit E, Honor, or Redmi version.
If you are planning to buy a pedometer to track your steps and walking distance and calories burn, it is good plan! So what you need to consider in buying a pedometer?

1. Battery life.
The device should be able to have longest battery life so that you wont need to keep charging everyday. From my experience, after one week of using Mi Band 5, battery is only 70%+. Xiomi claim this band able to stand for 14days.

2. Touch screen function.
I love the sensitivity and multifunction of this band. Comparing with Galaxy Fit E and Honor, Mi Band 5 alot more better. You can swipe and click at many ways. I dont know how to explain in details. hihi. You can try by yourself by visiting nearby shopping complex.

3. Colored screen or black&white.
Some only black&white. Some in colors. But if you want to save battery, better in black&white. hihi

I prefer in colour since can put my cat's image. >.<  Plus, easy to identify whose Band it is. Otherwise, if got many band, you will have problem identifying the owner since all lot exactly the same. lol~

4. Price.
Usually price is around RM100+ for a simple pedometer. The most expensive and go up to till RM4K which is Fit Bit one if im not mistaken. The more expensive means more function available, longer battery life, and good water resistant.

5. Heart rate, Stress, Breathing, and Sleep monitoring.
Im not sure about other brand. Mostly will have this function. Mi Band 5 also got this function but if you always ON it, it will consume lots of battery.

6. Idle Alert.
If you are sitting more than 1 hours, it will alert you to move around. Which is very good for me. hihi I love this feature.

7. Calling and App alert.
You will be notified if there is call or message coming in such as in Whatsapp. You even can read the message through the band.

8. Charging dock.
Easy to charge since no need to open the bracelet. Just clip (got magnet) in at the back and charge. Compare with Mi Band 4, its not really convenience to charge.

Two dots there is the charging port.

My brother have experience using Mi Band 3 and the screen turn black(not functioning) after two years. Other setting still functioning well.

From my experience as a first time user for this brand pedometer, I would recommend to use this Mi Band 5. However, if money is not an issue, why not try to buy the more expensive one like Garmin? hihi

Ok thats all for today. See you in the next post.
