Today i would like to review Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Mop, Global Version. I have used this for around one month. Price is RM999.00. Bought from Xiaomi Official Store at Queensbay Mall, Penang.
For your information, all Xiaomi brand will have two types : Global and China version. China version is only for China use while Global means for all other country other than China. There is some function that is different.
For Malaysia specifically, not all Xiaomi global version will enter to this country. Only selected product such as this brand for this type of Robot Vacuum have entered.
There is charging dock inside the picture below. Im comparing its size with a regular pen.
All electrical + digital product need to get approval from MCMC and SIRIM.
Here is the sticker that shows already tested and got approval. If you buy from Shopee, most likely will not have this sticker.
So far, I love this robot and would like to recommend to all of you using this. hihi I use this every week to clean my house. I like this so much because it can go below the bed and all under the furniture. So you can even sleep under the bed without worry of dust. hihi
Advantages of Robot Vacuum Mop
1. Can go through under all of your furniture / bed.
2. Able to mop fhe floor. It uses microfibre cloth. Water tank is sufficient for 1hour and 30min use.
3. Save time and energy as you can operate it even when you are not at home. You even can do a schedule clean up at any time you prefer.
4. Control the robot using your Smart Phone. Just need to install Mi Home. You can also control like a game. lol~ Playing while cleaning.
5. Strong suction power. Can clean up on the carpet.
6. Easy to empty trash since you just need to open & knock a little bit. Then all the dust will be emptied. No worry of the dust going into your nose or hand. hihi
7. Robot will not fall from high place / stair because of the sensor.
8. The robot will go back to its charging dock after complete cleaning and also if the battery level reach 30%. Then it will charge till 80% and resume cleaning.
9. Robot will talk and also give notification in the phone if it encounter any problem or want you to remove the mop tank while charging.
10. No more back pain or arm pain because of sweeping and vacuuming. hihi The best helper so far.
DISADVANTAGES
1. Need to empty the trash container frequently because of the volume is bit small comparing to normal vacuum cleaner.
2. Will get stuck in small space and also under sofa if the height is just about the same as the robot. Mine always stuck under sofa or table that have height about the same as the robot. haha It is like watching baby.
3. Sensor need to bump first before it knows there is obstacle / wall.
4. Water tank need to fill with filtered water and empty everytime after use. Water tank also need to be removed during charging process. This is to prevent damage inside the tank. Cannot use floor cleaner inside that the tank also.
5. Accesorries like side brush, roller brush, filter will need to be replaced after certain period of time. In the apps, it will appear the remaining time until replacement. Price is around RM39.

6. Need to wipe out the sensor regularly because of dust.
7. Bit heavy to carry around.
8. Only can store one map. Meaning if you have 2 level story house, this might be not suitable because the map will became overlap.
9. The vacuum has zone/area cleaning function. By this, it is not necessary to displace the vacuum from the charging dock at start, as it would help itself to the selected zone.
10. Cannot use on water puddle. Otherwise might damage the vacuum. Wet floor is acceptable but not a puddle.
11. Cannot detect / use magnetic belt as a restriction. I will just ignore the belt. However you can set restriction area in the maps to prevent the vacuum going there.
12. The english speaker is bit hard to understand. The robot will talk in english when got some notification like "I'm starting zone cleaning" , "Please clean my obstacle sensor", and many more.
Overall, this is the best specification of robot vacuum with the affordable price available in Malaysia. Khind brand are the lowest so far but I'm not really sure about the specs. If you can spend more money, the you can buy more high specs like Roborock. More than RM2K+.
