Today I would like to share about getting ultrasound for breast dan pelvis (uterus, adnexa, ovary). It is painless and it is non-invasive.
Lets get to know who is sonographer. They are expert in ultrasound. Sonographer is the one who is a radiographer but specialize in ultrasound. There is no such post in government sector as it seems to overlap job with medical doctor. So you can only find sonographer in private sector. This info is from my friend who is working as radiographer at government sector.
Since this is during PKP time in Malaysia, there is a restriction number of people to gather in one place. So you need to book an appointment by filling the form online at the Sonovision website. Then, you will get confirmation email like the picture below.
Price for this package is RM259.00 since i register during promotion period. You will get radiologist report together with CD containing images of the ultrasound. Radiologist is a medical doctor who is specialise in radiology.
Previously breast ultrasound on 2015 at IIUM Pahang Medical Centre cost RM100.
For pelvic ultrasound, you need to drink alot of water. Preferably 30min before arrive. So that they can quickly do yours first and then will let you urinate after that. They will get a better image of uterus if your bladder is full. Otherwise, if you dont have the feeling to urinate urgently, you will be required to drink first before the procedure.
Only one sonographer present during the procedure. Radiologist will interpret the result later.
Report from radiologist for pelvis ultrasound :

2) Right Adnexa
4) Lateral side uterus
5) Transverse uterus
6) Left Ovary
7) Left follicular cyst
8) Right Ovary
9) Overview pelvis
Now we go to breast ultrasound. There is a lot of lump can be found on both side.

Left got many lump as shown in the picture. Right side no so many.
Usually Dr will rule out if the cell is benign or cancerous tumor by taking some cell & observe under miscroscope. If it is benign, there is nothing to worry. But try your best to avoid processed food to prevent cell turn to cancer😅 Many processed food are cancer causing agent.
